DRILL 1:

  • Each fielding position is marked by placing two cones with a distance of 5 meters
  • The player is asked to take his stance
  • The partner throws the ball to the batsman at full length
  • The player has to drive the ball to ensure the ball goes through the gap of these cones

DRILL 2:

  • Each fielding position is marked by placing a standing board
  • The player is asked to take his stance
  • The partner throws the ball to the batsman at short length
  • The player has to play pull or cut to ensure the ball hits the board

DRILL 3:

  • Balls are placed on cones and are kept at driving position (Straight, On side, Covers, Off side)
  • The player is asked to take his stance
  • The player is asked to move his front foot towards the cones and play the appropriate shots
  • The player should not move his back foot and come to the earlier position after playing each shot

DRILL 4:

  • The player is asked to take his stance
  • Balls are placed on cones and are kept in a horizontal line at different positions
  • The player should move quickly to each position and play the correct shots as per the marking
