BATTING DRILLS – STABILITY

These drills are designed to help the batsman improve their essential skills.
  •  Balance
  • Co-ordination
  • Agility
  •  Speed
  • Reaction
  • Stability


Stability Drills

DRILL 1:
  • The player is asked to balance himself on one leg
  • The players partner is provided with some soft balls
  • The partner has to thrown these balls at the opponent from a distance of 15 meters
  • The player has to act swiftly to avoid the balls hitting him while maintaining the balance
DRILL 2:
  • The player is asked to balance himself on one leg with a stump in his batting hand
  • The players partner is provided with some soft balls
  • The partner has to thrown these balls at the opponent from a distance of 15 meters
  • The player has to act swiftly to avoid the balls hitting him while maintaining the balance
DRILL 3:
  • The player is asked to sit on a Anti burst Gym Ball with a stump in his batting hand
  • The players partner is provided with some soft balls
  • The partner has to thrown these balls at the opponent from a distance of 15 meters
  • The player must either take swift action to move away from the ball or try to hit them
