 Villupuram - Under 14 Cricket Trials 2022




Villupuram District Cricket Association will conduct trials for selecting the Under-14 district team. 

The team selected will take part in the forthcoming Under-14 inter district cricket tournament organized by Tamil Nadu Cricket Association.


The selection will be held at Villupuram Cricket Academy on March 06, 2022.


Players born on or after September 1, 2008 are eligible to attend the trials. 

Players born on or after September 1, 2010 are not eligible.

The participating players must submit an age proof certificate.

 TAMIL NADU PLAYERS IN IPL 2022



A total of 30 players registered from Tamil Nadu went into the auction of IPL 2022. Out of which only 14 player will feature in IPL 2022.

The highest bid among all was for M Shahrukh Khan who was picked by Punjab Kings for 9 cr and the second next was Washington Sundar by Sunrisers Hyderabad for 8.75 cr.

Four players who went for the base price of 20 lakh were Hari Nishaanth and N Jagadeesan for Chennai Super Kings, B Indrajith for Kolkata Knight Riders and the new comer Sai Sudharsan for Gujarat Titans

The experienced candidates R Ashwin will feature for Rajasthan Royals for 5 cr and Dinesh Karthik to Royal Challengers Bangalore for 5.5 cr.

India Under 19 Team for World Cup 2022


The All India Junior Selection committee has picked the squad for the upcoming ICC under 19 World Cup. The tournament is to be played in West Indies from Jan 14 to Feb 5, 2022 across four host countries

Having won the title four times 2000, 2008, 2012 and 2018. India is the most successful team in the tournament. India have also been runner up in 2016 and in the previous edition

16 teams to participate in the tournament with 48 matches to be played in this 14th edition.

India is placed in the Group B, along with South Africa, Ireland and Uganda

While there have been some surprise retentions, many prominent names have been astonishingly released by their franchises due to various reasons

All the franchisees are suppose to submit the player retention list by today EOD. The below is the list of players who are to be retained by their franchise.

CSK, DC, KKR, MI have retained 4 players from the existing core team. Find below the list of players retained by each team.

RCB, RR and SRH have retained 3 players each from the existing core team. Find below the list of players retained by each team.

However Punjab Kings XI has retained only two player and are planning to revamp the entire team.

The new teams who have joined are yet to negotiate with the players and will soon publish the name they are planning to acquire.
